A medium sized design/digital agency with a collaborative culture, looking to grow substantially in the next few years. They create central assets, manage flagship store design, provide 3D plans, implement digital touchpoints and immersive experiences with content and augmented reality in store. Working with a fantastic range of leading global brands.


We’re looking for a Technical Director to manage technical strategy, development, execution and innovation across the agency. Ideally someone from the events industry who understands the complexities of delivering interactive experiences in the physical space and is happy to be hands on. Someone who is fully versed with hardware for interactive experiences, can manage an AV scheme.

Working in close collaboration with our teams across creative, production and client services you will have a strong understanding of a range of experience technologies and be comfortable providing technical direction alongside unlocking creative potential. This role is at the centre of the agency’s output, shaping and building creative experiences for their enviable client list. An understanding of the retail industry is a benefit but not mandatory.


  • Provides technical leadership for all digital and omni projects
  • Leads the technical aspect of digital experience projects, including by not limited to:
    • Project Feasibility Study & Technology Review
    • Technical Experience Design
    • AV Design
    • Specification of Hardware and liaison with the client’s AV Integrator and/or procurement team
    • Provision of power, data and HVAC requirements for contractors
    • Technical R&D, working alongside colleagues
    • Management of scale mock-up or proof of concept
  • Understands both the retail and digital industries and is able to bring new freelancers and suppliers to the table or seek out specialists when required
  • Ability to work alongside many different stakeholders internally, client side and supplier side including freelancers
  • Works closely with the Producer and the Creative Team to help them deliver their creative intent
  • Awareness of different technologies, systems, digital solutions and products to ensure we are using the right tools for each project
  • Excellent attention to detail but also with the ability to delegate to team members and freelancers
  • Ability to see problems from multiple sides
  • Ability to help problem-solve highly technical issues, in design and production
  • Researching available products to decide if they will be suitable for the project rather than building a completely new system
  • Working with designers and developers to explain the infrastructure and assisting them throughout the implementation process
