Key Responsibilities

•        Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy

•        Manage the recruitment and selection process including compiling job advertisements and job specs, working with recruitment agencies, short-listing candidates, planning the interview process, conducting interviews

•        Induction process – ensuring induction documents are up to date and planning induction process for every new starter

•        Employment law – being aware of any changes in employment law, ensuring all policies and procedures are up to date and in line with current legislation, liaising with solicitors regarding employment law issues as and when necessary

•        Oversee and manage performance appraisal process including organisation of twice-yearly appraisals, compiling 360 feedback results, distributing relevant paperwork to employees and line managers,

•        Training – putting together a staff training program, researching relevant courses & arranging bookings, keeping training records up to date, ensuring training request forms and evaluation forms are completed, conducting training reviews with employees as and when required, ensuring costs fall within annual training budget, deliver training to the business as and when required

•        Annual leave & sickness monitoring – keeping central records of any annual leave and sickness and being able to produce reports etc. as and when needed

•        Documentation – ensuring document is relevant including writing staff handbooks, job descriptions, contracts, and issuing written offers of employment, promotion etc.

•        Employee Relations – advising and supporting on matters such as disciplinary and grievance procedures, sickness management, equal opportunities policy and employment law and attending meetings as necessary

•        Investors in People – work to ensure we continue to meet the relevant Investors in People standard for Top Banana and extend to the Whole Group.

•        Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary

•        CSR – ensuring any relevant paperwork is kept up to date and our CSR policy is adhered to internally

•        Budget management – ensuring all training and additional HR requirements are managed within the annual HR budget

•        Payroll & Benefits – working closely with finance to ensure payroll information is accurate and the annual benefits/incentive programme is managed and maintained

•        Line Manager support – coaching of line managers to ensure they are equipped with the relevant skills to support their teams

•        HR Systems Management – day to day management of People HR to ensure information stored is accurate and relevant
