This is a brand experience agency seeking a Business Development Director with a creative background to build and fuel their expansion. This role aligns on company goals and vision to push the experiential offering into new and constantly innovative directions. The best fit for this role will be an individual used to a fast paced and dynamic environment with a desire to work with an exceptional team that will deliver on their creative vision. The role calls for the successful candidate to work seamlessly with an internal team and external vendors to execute a range of complex, multi-dimensional programs and productions for clients.


What you’ll do:

The Director of Business Development is responsible for winning net-new client relationships for the agency.


Specific responsibilities include:

● Oversight and active management of an outsourced marketing and lead-development agency

● Building and maintaining relationships with client prospects in the short and long term

● Qualifying new business opportunities and making recommendations on allocation of agency resources accordingly 

● Active relationship management of qualified leads, providing timely responses to clients’ queries, proactively building rapport and strategically positioning the agency for success 

● Developing a strategic understanding of the client’s business, industry and individual needs - and providing this input to the team working on the agency response

● Managing the life-cycle of the sales process including planning for opportunity responses, guiding the pitch process and closing, including contracting


The ideal candidate should have:

● Multiple years of working in business development roles

● Experience working for an agency with an experiential offer 

● Strong negotiation, organisation, prioritisation and planning skills

● Exceptional interpersonal skills

● Keen interest in market trends
